USB Dead Drop

I installed a USB dead drop in the town where I live. This is an offline data repository that is both read and write: anyone can modify it for better or worse.

I started by scoping out a location. This building has been abandoned for a few years, unfortunately.

 I noticed a hole in the building. 

I started by using some construction-grade adhesive to glue a stone over the hole so it would be more difficult to destroy the USB drive by swinging at it from above.

I bought a pack of 16GB USB drives. I used Tinkercad to model a holder that would fit into the hole and 3D printed it in ABS.

I build the directory structure and copied it to the USB drive.

The USB drive and holder were glued into place.

Truthfully, I have not plugged back into it since I installed it. Were I to do so it would be from a USB live-booted version of Linux that I could just erase after exploring the drive.
