Via BoingBoing, French artist Vincent Lamouroux's 2002 project Pentacycle. An "object, text & video," I am particularly enamored by Lamouroux's fanciful Pentacycle, a wheeled device built to transport him along an 18 km stretch of monorail track built for a canceled Aérotrain project from the 1970s.
As an resident of Seattle, I am always a sucker for a good Monorail story. Particularly one like this, that builds upon the failure of a monorail system in such a whimsical and forward-thinking way.
