Ersatz Nature: Tree Trunk

 

I took my Structure Sensor to the forest and 3D scanned this particularly beautiful tree trunk.

After processing it through Meshmixer, I 3D printed it as large as the Replicator 1 would print. I always manage to forget that ABS tends to delaminate on these big prints. I think it somewhat appropriate for a model of something made of wood. I left it, and all the strings of filament, alone, as an "organic" product of the fabrication.
